Now that you’ve set up your wallet (see our creating a wallet tutorial), you’re able to send and receive transactions! To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Click “Send Ether & Tokens.” You will see “How would you like to access your wallet?” on the screen with several options available.
  2. Click on the option that you would prefer to use. We will be using “Keystore File (UC / JSON)” in our example.
  3. Select the “*.json” file that you downloaded earlier and upload it.
  4. Enter your encryption password that you created and click “Unlock.”
    1. Enter the public address of the intended recipient in the “To Address.”
    2. Enter in the amount that you would like to send in the corresponding box.
    3. Select which “currency” you would like to send from the gray drop-down menu.
*[If the token you want does not appear, follow additional steps below]
  5. Select the “*.json” file that you downloaded earlier and upload it.
  6. Click “Generate Transaction.”
  7. After the browser generates the transaction, click “Send Transaction.”
  8. A pop-up will appear for you to verify the amount and address as correct. Click “Yes, I am sure!”

The transaction (TX) is complete! You may now click on the TX ID to view the transaction within the blockchain.

*Additional steps if token does not appear in the drop-down menu:

If you’ve already added the token previously and it isn’t appearing in the menu, just click “Load Custom Token” in the sidebar to update it. If you want to send a token you haven’t previously added, follow these steps:

  1. In the sidebar, click “Add Custom Token.”
  2. Enter the address, name, and decimals of the token (These are provided by the developers of the token).
  3. Click “Save.” You can now send the added token, as well as see its balance in the sidebar.
